The Opportunity:

The Manufacturing Engineer will have the exciting opportunity to join a growing team and work on developing and supporting manufacturing processes for our structural heart products.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and support the manufacturing processes for a new heart valve implant
  • Assist in a transfer from R&D to Manufacturing through Clinical Use
  • Identify and act upon areas for manufacturing process improvement
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and collaborate cross-functionally to implement corrective actions
  • Provide guidance and perform training to technicians and operators for manufacturing processes
  • Other responsibilities as determined by project need

Skills:

  • Medical device manufacturing and good manufacturing practices – GMP (BOM, backwards compatibility, DHRs, MPIs, material management)
  • Strong documentation, organizational, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) for fixture development

 

What you’ll need:

  • BS or MS in related engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Experience in the medical device industry is desired
