The Opportunity:
The Manufacturing Engineer will have the exciting opportunity to join a growing team and work on developing and supporting manufacturing processes for our structural heart products.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and support the manufacturing processes for a new heart valve implant
- Assist in a transfer from R&D to Manufacturing through Clinical Use
- Identify and act upon areas for manufacturing process improvement
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and collaborate cross-functionally to implement corrective actions
- Provide guidance and perform training to technicians and operators for manufacturing processes
- Other responsibilities as determined by project need
Skills:
- Medical device manufacturing and good manufacturing practices – GMP (BOM, backwards compatibility, DHRs, MPIs, material management)
- Strong documentation, organizational, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) for fixture development
What you’ll need:
- BS or MS in related engineering discipline
- 1+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering
- Experience in the medical device industry is desired
