About Capstan
Established in 2020, Capstan Medical came out of the Santa Cruz incubator Occam Labs. Founders Dan Wallace and David Schummers have over 50 years of collective experience in both the start-up and commercial medical technology space. They joined with founding engineers Spencer Noe and Peter Gregg, creating a team with the talent and technology from their past cardiac and surgical robotics endeavors to bring minimally invasive solutions to heart-saving procedures.
